Collection

The collection in part consists of printed resources such as blueprints, sacramental records, abstracts, articles of incorporation and related documents. In addition, the Archives also maintains an assortment of material culture items that include the artistic medias of sculpture, paint, and textiles.

Research Requests

Access policies have been developed with a sensitivity to two principles: right-to-know and confidentiality. This is to ensure compliance with state and federal legislation, and archival practices. Few collections are permanently restricted. Some materials, however, may be sequestered from common viewing for a certain period. These may include: medical, orphanage, sacramental, and student records. These will be made available in a scheduled manner in keeping with professionally appraised criteria and canonical requirements. Questions on access policies to individual collections or series may be directed to the archivist. Access is granted to researchers as a contractual matter in which use of the material is subject to the rules of the Archives, including the acceptance of normal policies and procedures.

Time limitations prevent the archivist from accepting large requests for information. If requesting information via e-mail please be as specific as possible and include the purpose/intended use of requested data, date range, subject, and contact information. Requests made over the phone may require written follow-up from the requester.
