Dear Friends of Catholic Schools,
I am honored to serve as the President of the Catholic School Foundation (CSF) of the Diocese of Sioux City. The CSF Board includes dedicated men and women from all parts of the Diocese who are united in their support of Catholic Schools.
The Catholic schools in the Diocese of Sioux City have a long, rich history. As our ancestors moved to Northwest Iowa they frequently built the Catholic school before they built the church! That speaks volumes to their dedication.
The Catholic schools of today face many challenges. With those challenges, however, come many opportunities. Please consider what Catholic schools have to offer:
*Catholic Schools provide a Gospel-based, values-oriented education.
*Catholic Schools feature high academic standards and provide a safe school environment.
*Catholic Schools will provide the Church with its future leaders.
*Catholic School graduates provide leadership and service to communities across America.
In the Diocese of Sioux City, more than 6,000 boys and girls attend Catholic Schools. As a graduate of a Catholic school and as a parent of children still enrolled in the system, I have witnessed first-hand the tremendous work being done in our classrooms.
The Catholic School Foundation will continue to support the mission of Catholic Schools through our fund-raising efforts and professional support to the teachers and students.
If you are interested in learning more about Catholic Schools in the Diocese of Sioux City or supporting the work of the Catholic School Foundation through a gift, please contact the Office of Education or the Office of Development today. Let’s keep Catholic schools in our prayers.
Sincerely,
Matt Greteman, President
Catholic School Foundation Board
The Diocese of Sioux City
