The purpose of the Bishop’s Education Grant is to assist in the financing of Catholic parish-based evangelistic and catechetical efforts.
Before you apply for a Bishop's Education Grant, please review the “Grant Guidelines” to understand the rules, ensure your request qualifies for assistance, and understand the reimbursement process if the grant is awarded. After reviewing the grant guidelines, download and fill out the grant application form, attach all relevant follow-up documentation, and email to Dani Fennessy at [email protected]. You may fill out the online application instead, but be sure to email all follow-up documentation to Dani at the above email address. Requests will not be considered without the necessary documentation, which are specified within the “Grant Guidelines”.
If you have been awarded funds and decide not to use them for the intended purpose, please notify the Diocesan Offices immediately so the funds can be redistributed. If the grant was not used for its intended purpose, the parish grant recipient is responsible for full reimbursement to the diocese. The maximum amount a parish can receive per fiscal year is $3,000.
Responsibility for the allocation of funds rests with the Diocesan Office of Evangelization, in consultation with the Vicar General and the Bishop’s office. Applicants will receive written notification following the Diocesan Office review stating the grant status.
